Rise Up Together Leadership & Advocacy Program in Kenya 2026
In-person training accelerator in Kenya for 25 civil society leaders advancing gender equity (focus on education) for women, girls, and gender-nonconforming people. All program costs covered, including transportation, lodging, food, and materials. Apply by July 19, 2026.

Applications are open for the Rise Up Together Leadership & Advocacy Program in Kenya 2026. Global nonprofit Rise Up Together will select a group of 25 local civil society leaders from Kenya to participate in the Leadership and Advocacy Accelerator training program to advance gender equity and justice from November 2-7, 2026.
The 2026 Kenya cohort will have a particular focus on advancing gender equity in education and supporting local leaders working to improve educational opportunities and outcomes in their communities.
Benefits: Following the Accelerator, Rise Up Leaders have the opportunity to apply for competitive seed funding to launch advocacy strategies to advance gender equity in education across Kenya. All program costs related to participation – transportation, lodging, food, and materials – are covered.
Eligibility: Civil society leaders 18+ working in Kajiado, Narok, Machakos, Makueni, Kiambu, and/or Nairobi Counties; commitment to promoting gender equity in health, education, economic opportunity, or climate solutions for women, girls, and gender-nonconforming people; represents or works closely with marginalized communities; able to participate in-person November 2-7, 2026; works at a non-profit, civil society, media, or government organization at a coordination/management level with decision-making power; proficient in English.
