Key Responsibilities
Research Assistants will play an active role in supporting the Observatory’s scientific output and collaborative initiatives.

Cleaning, managing, and analyzing datasets
Developing coding simulations and econometric models
Contributing to academic papers, policy reports, and publications

Specialized Tracks
In addition to the main track, candidates may express interest in two specialized opportunities:
Norway Track (Illicit Financial Flows):
Based at Skatteforsk – Norwegian Centre for Tax Research
Located at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences
Focus on illicit financial flows and real estate

West Africa Track (Tax Administration):
Focus on projects with tax authorities in Senegal and Benin
Requires fluency in French
Includes fieldwork (approximately 5–6 months annually)

Minimum requirements:
A Master’s degree in economics or a related field (completed by September 2026)
