CMS releases educational materials for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge

On June 3, 2026, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released educational materials for the new Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program, a short-term demonstration that begins July 1, 2026 and runs through December 31, 2027. The Bridge will expand access to certain GLP-1 obesity medications for eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries who do not currently have coverage through the Part D benefit, with the program operating outside the Part D coverage and payment flow. CMS posted prescriber and pharmacy fact sheets along with a prior authorization form, and said additional beneficiary-facing materials will follow in the coming weeks.
