Indiana Supreme Court lets near-total abortion ban stand
Indiana Capital Chronicle

In a 4-1 order on May 15, 2026, the Indiana Supreme Court declined to review Planned Parenthood's challenge to the state's near-total abortion ban, leaving in place lower-court rulings that upheld the 2022 law. Providers had argued the ban's health exceptions were too narrow; the ACLU said the decision brings the case to a close. A separate religious-freedom challenge remains pending.
