Black Bodies, Masculinities, and Sexual Politics Symposium

Black Bodies, Masculinities, and Sexual Politics Symposium

While the past three decades have seen a growing interest in the study and exploration of hegemonic masculinity and its legacies, much remains to be said about construction and maintenance of marginalised masculinities. In particular, the enduring legacies and sense-making of colonial domination continue to shape the narratives around Black masculinity and Black male bodies.

As part of my The British Academy / The Leverhulme Trust Small Grant, we warmly invite submissions and contributions from across the social sciences and community practice. See the attached poster for more information on topics and areas of interest, as well as submission details.

This symposium is open and welcoming to ECR, PGR and independent presenters. Limited funding is available to support the travel costs of these presenters; details to be shared at a later date.

Abstracts for oral or poster presentations can be submitted at https://lnkd.in/eX7NdNPj
